Duties & Responsibilities
As the point of contact on assigned projects, performs various highly skilled duties such as: assembling, coordinating, and managing multidisciplinary technical review teams.
Facilitates and troubleshoots the myriad of problems associated with developing complex systems or with coordinating, developing, and designing projects.
Provides highly skilled technical and management advice and assistance to department management and personnel.
Responds to inquiries about projects.
Coordinates schedules of staff and other interested parties.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Report and escalate to management as needed.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Collaborate with the project team and key stakeholders to execute the project plan, including goals, objectives, timelines, and milestones. Ensure alignment with DOE grant requirements and regulations.
Maintain clear and open communication with project stakeholders, including DOE representatives, team members, and external partners. Prepare regular progress reports and presentations as required by DOE.
Ensure compliance with all DOE regulations and grant requirements, including reporting and documentation. Maintain a file system for accurate reports.
BS Degree with at least 5 years of project management experience, preferably in a research or DOE-funded project setting.
Experience/knowledge of DOE regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail.
