Account Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the point of contact for all customer account management matters

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships

Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits

Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors

Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives

Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

Organize production plans and timing with customer

Assist Operations team with scheduling of customer raw materials and outbound shipments

Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas

Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)

Prepare reports on account status

Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities

Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed


BA/BS degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Sciences, Business or Marketing

Minimum of 5-years’ experience selling Specialty Chemicals, Bulk Blending or Liquid Contract Manufacturing Services

The ability to organize a sales opportunity, communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level

Experience delivering client-focused solutions to meet customer needs

The ability to organize a sales opportunity, communicate and present to Operations teams to ensure a successful project start-up.

Proven ability to complete multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail

Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
