Duties and Responsibilities

Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.

Responsible for loading dry and wet distillers grain, ethanol, and corn oil onto trucks and railcars.

Safely and efficiently operate equipment including but not limited to: payload and Rail King.

Assist with lawn care in summer and snow removal during winter months.

Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.

Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.

Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.

Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.

Makes simple adjustments or repairs such as realigning belts or replacing rollers.

Operate the scale house when needed.

Understand and Operate the Allen Bradley system.

Assist maintenance and process teams with various duties.

Participate in regularly scheduled housekeeping of the grains area.

Receive all daily deliveries (denaturant, chemicals, and van trucks).

Complete daily transfers in tank farm and provide samples to the lab.

Responsible for keep accurate DDG, corn, and ethanol inventories.

Physical Requirements

Able climb ladders and stairs and lift up to 100lbs

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and depth perception.
